For starters, the router provides users with three wireless bands, as opposed to the standard two which most router offer. You’ll get your 2.4GHz band which allows legacy devices access, and two 5GHz bands, both able to support 802.11ac.
The thinking behind offering three bands is that you can set up your older devices on the 2.4GHz network, which frees up space on the 5GHz band for newer ones.
