Yes, it’s that time of year again! Prime Day will be arriving June 21st and running through to June 22nd. Last year, it was hard for people to find the right deals at the right time, so I curated some of the top deals worth checking out in a helpful list below.

Of course, Prime Day Roomba deals will be featured heavily, as these were the best-selling items last year (with the best discounts). If you don’t already have a Prime Membership, you can sign up here for a 30-day trial (which will put you in the right window to take advantage of the deals).

The following represent products that I – or my team – have personally reviewed, so there’s no junk or cheap knock-offs. See below for the live listing (updated daily – and hourly – as long as Amazon Prime Day is going on)

When is Amazon Prime Day This Year?

It’s scheduled for June 21st and 22nd! However, deals will run for a full 48 hours. There will also be “lead up” deals in the week prior to Prime Day.

What Kind of Prime Day Deals are Available for the Smart Home?

Generally Amazon has deals available across the board, but smart home equipment promises to be an exciting “hot” category to what this year. It’s a reasonably safe assumption that Amazon’s own items like the Echo, Show, and Tap will be featured heavily (and likely discounted heavily). Last year, popular products like the Roomba were offered as “flash deals” with limited supplies over a limited time.

In general, there are:

  • Full Prime Day Deals: These will run throughout Prime Day and are generally not restricted. However, items may run out of stock and you will have to reserve a copy. This happened with the Amazon Echo last year. The discount remained in effect, but the unit was placed on back-order. While this hopefully will not happen again, it’s bound to happen in some verticals where demand can’t be properly anticipated.
  • Prime Day Lightning Deals: These are extremely time sensitive and often hard to predict. When they happen, you generally have to be prepared to move quickly. There are limited supplies to be had in a limited time. In theory, items can sell out completely in the first 5 minutes and never come back! Pro Tip: Go in as soon as the deals are posted on the 10th and check out the next 30 hours worth of “upcoming deals”. Bookmark or “watch” the deals that you are interested in. You will be notified right away when the specific deals hit.

Are Prime Day Deals Worth the Hype?

This is something I hear sometimes. There are certainly a few “deals” mixed in that aren’t really true deals. That’s why it’s good to find a resource in niche specific areas (like AllHomeRobotics) who know how to spot a true discount. We actually track historical prices and won’t list deals that are deals in name only.

Furthermore, Prime Day last year saw some impressive discounts. Over 23,000 Roomba’s were sold (as an example).

The other nice thing about Prime Day is that it isn’t just focused on “gift items” like Black Friday / Cyber Monday. You can also save a great household goods. Need new filters for your robot? Well, you might find those discounted as well.

Good vs Bad Prime Day Deals

One thing to watch for – particularly in the Smart Home space – is crazy high discounts on off name brand products. There are a LOT of knock offs or unproven products that are cheap immitations of the real thing.

One excellent example are the knock off robots.

Look for REPUTABLE brands at discount. Examples of reputable brands of robots would be: iRobot Roomba series, Neato Botvac series, Samsung PowerBot series, etc… We will only be listing deals here from brands that we know, like, and trust!

In the lead-up to the actual Prime Day, there are some interesting deals to take advantage of. Some of these include:
